The Aerotonomy NANOS™ is a fully molded, carbon composite Micro Air Vehicle with a maximum linear dimension less than 12 inches and a fully-equipped, ready-to-fly weight of 230g, including airframe, avionics, power supply, propulsion, actuation, and RF links for video and command and control. The NANOS™ has an endurance of 32 minutes and an operational speed range of 0-144 kph, with the very low end of the speed range enabled by its autonomous hovering capabilities.

System features include:
- High-resolution imagery for the primary intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) mission.
- Real-time, on-board image processing for three cameras at 30 Hz.
- Robust GPS/INS navigation with image aiding for GPS-denied operations.
- Adaptive flight control to provide stable control during highly nonlinear maneuvers, including transitions between steady-level and hovering flight.
- Capability to operate in high wind conditions.
